If you want to take admission in MBBS, you
must qualify for the NEET-UG entrance exam. Even if you want to take MBBS
admission through management quota or NRI quota, you have to qualify NEET-UG
In practical there is nothing called direct
admission in MBBS. All the medical seats are filled by centralized counseling
conducted by MCC and the respective state counseling board.
Basic details
Course level ----- Bachelor degree
Duration ----- 4.5 Years + 1 Year Internship
Age ----- Minimum 17 year of age by December 31st
of the year of taking admission.
Eligibility -----
The candidate must
score at least 50% in physics, chemistry and biology.
Admission process ---- The candidate must qualify need UG entrance
exam.
The
candidate must attend the counseling process without fail.
Eligibility criteria for MBBS admission
v The
candidate must qualify for NEET-UG entrance exam.
v The
candidate must have passed class 12 or equivalent examination with chemistry,
biology and physics as mandatory subject.
v Candidate
must have a score 50% in aggregate and in each subject too.
v OBC/SC/ST
candidate must have score a minimum of 40% while PWD candidate must scored at
least 45% in the 12th examination.
v The
candidate must be at least 17 years of age by December 31st of the
year of taking admission.
v The
candidate must attend the counseling process without fail.

Counseling process
Round 1:
Round 1 counseling will be online. You have to log into the portal with your login credentials. You have to choose the college based on your preferences and lock the choices. Once locked the choices submit the choices.
Round 2:
If you have not been allotted any seat in round
1 counseling, you have to attend 2nd counseling. Here also follow
the same process as Round 1 Counseling.
Mop-UP Round.
This round is offline in most of the state.
The vacant seat after 2nd round of counseling will be available through
Mop-Up round for students who are present at counseling center.
Some state conducts online mock up around as
well.
If you did not get MBBS admission through the
Mop-Up round too, then you can attend stray vacant round.
Stray Vacant Round.
All unallocated vacant seats are transferred to
the college for offline stray vacant round conducted at college level.
